My puppy was afraid of the leash at the begining. That wasn't funny. But I had to learn her how to wear one. At first I didn't know how to get the leash and the dog to become friends. I pretended to not see it, and tried to walk my puppy. My puppy was about 3 months old. My puppy tried to get rid of the leash and she started to whimp. My poor baby.
When we were inside, I let her sniff the leash. I lay it on the floor so she could take a look at it when she wanted. After a while, I put it on her. Gave her a snack when she allowed me to put it on. This took us about 2 weeks.
When we tried it outside, she didn't want to go the same way as I did. She sat on her butt everytime she didn't understand a thing... She was accustomed to go where shewanted
After a while she started to hunt the leash, and that it's not allowed. OMG!! How was I suposed to learn her that at the same time as I was learning her to walk with a leash?
But we did it at last. Everytime I got her were I wanted, I gave her som treats. It didn't take a long time. But we are still learning. Puppy training with leash is very entertaining. I think the dog does so many funny things when they are trying to "escape" from the leash
